Peran Inklusi Finansial dan Tingkat Adopsi Teknologi pada Stabilitas dan Kinerja Perbankan: Suatu Studi Panel Lintas Negara

Abstract

Penelitian ini melakukan analisis atas peran inklusi finansial dan tingkat adopsi teknologi terhadap stabilitas dan kinerja perbankan. Pemodelan empiris dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik regresi panel data yang meliputi 65 negara pada periode 2011–2017. Penulis menemukan bahwa dampak adopsi teknologi terhadap stabilitas tergantung kepada proksi yang digunakan. Inklusi finansial berdampak negatif terhadap stabilitas yang diproksikan dengan NPL. Peningkatan adopsi teknologi serta aktivitas inklusi keuangan dapat meningkatkan biaya serta meningkatkan proporsi nasabah yang berisiko tinggi pada pool of potential debtors. Hal tersebut jika tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat berdampak buruk kepada stabilitas dan performa perbankan. Hal ini memerlukan perhatian regulator dan dukungan anggota perbankan agar stabilitas dan performa dapat terjaga.
