Pengaruh Kepribadian terhadap Upah Pekerja di Indonesia: Analisis Big Five Personality Traits
Abstract
Kepribadian menjadi salah satu komponen modal manusia yang merupakan determinan dari capaian di pasar tenaga kerja. Namun, studi di negara berkembang, khususnya di Indonesia masih sangat terbatas. Kebijakan yang secara spesifik memperhatikan isu tersebut juga masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh kepribadian yang direpresentasikan dengan Big Five Personality Traits terhadap upah pekerja di Indonesia. Dengan memanfaatkan data IFLS tahun 2014 serta mengakomodasi community fixed-effect, studi ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kepribadian menunjukkan pengaruh positif terhadap upah pekerja di Indonesia. Emotional stability muncul sebagai dimensi kepribadian yang memiliki dampak signifikan paling konsisten. Analisis heterogenitas juga menemukan bahwa hanya sektor pekerjaan formal dan pekerjaan di wilayah urban yang memberikan kompensasi bagi pekerjaan dengan kualitas kepribadian
lebih baik.
