Peer Review Process
Jurnal Ekonomi Indonesia (JEI) employs a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous to ensure objectivity and fairness.
All manuscripts submitted to JEI undergo an initial screening by the Editorial Team to evaluate their suitability with the journal’s aims and scope, as well as their academic quality and originality. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s standards may be desk-rejected with a clear explanation.
Papers that pass the initial screening are checked for originality using iThenticate. The maximum allowable Similarity Index (SI) is 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold are returned to authors for revision before further consideration.
Submissions that meet these requirements are then assigned to at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers provide detailed evaluations and make recommendations, which may result in one of the following editorial decisions:
- Accept
- Minor revision: For minor revisions, authors are generally given 2 weeks to revise and resubmit. The revised paper and author’s response are then reviewed by the Managing Editor or Editorial Board.
- Major revision: For major revisions, authors are given 3 weeks Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by reviewers before a final decision is made.
- Reject
