About Journal

JEI was established by the Ikatan Sarjana Ekonomi Indonesia/Indonesian Economist Association (ISEI) in 2004. The ISEI board does not take responsibility for the views expressed by the authors of the journal. JEI authors benefit from extensive editing process as well as English proofreading services. The journal charges no fee to its authors for article publications, and readers will be granted open access to articles published in JEI. The board believes that such access policy will benefit the broader academics and research communities.

Since 2020, JEI has started publishing its volumes triannually (three times a year), in April, August, and December. Additionally, hard copy versions of JEI volumes are also published by the ISEI.

Jurnal Ekonomi Indonesia (JEI) provides immediate open access to its published articles, following the principle that making scholarly research freely available to the public supports a wider exchange of knowledge and contributes to the advancement of research and academic practice.

All articles published by JEI are freely accessible online without subscription fees or access charges. Readers may read, download, copy, print, search, and link to the full texts of published articles, subject to the copyright and licensing terms applicable to each article.

JEI supports transparent and responsible scholarly publishing practices in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, developed collaboratively by COPE and other scholarly publishing organizations.

Copyright and permitted reuse of articles published in JEI are governed by the license stated on the journal website and/or on each published article. Users must comply with the applicable license when reproducing, distributing, adapting, or otherwise reusing published material. Appropriate acknowledgment of the original author and source is required when citing or reusing an article.

Open access does not exempt authors, reviewers, or editors from their ethical responsibilities. JEI expects all participants in the publication process to uphold research integrity and comply with the journal’s publication ethics policies. These expectations are consistent with the ethical publishing guidance provided by COPE.

JEI is committed to maintaining clear and transparent information regarding access to published articles, copyright, licensing, and any applicable publication charges. This policy is intended to help authors, readers, and other stakeholders understand the journal’s open access arrangements.
